BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) Instructor-Led Training
The AHA’s new BLS Course has been updated to include science and education from the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
aDVANCED cARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS) Instructor-Led Training
AHA’s ACLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.
This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills simulated clinical scenarios that encourage Active participation
Hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency
Classroom-based works well for learners who prefer group interaction and instructor feedback while learning skills
Heartsaver® BBP Facilitator-Led Course
This classroom course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
